Matt Richards
Songs of Solomon 2:13 The fig tree ripens its figs, and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance. Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away. O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the crannies of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.
My prayer is that I might hear His voice.
His voice that calls us to arise to come away.
There's a whisper to 'come up higher'. A gentle voice that calls us to get alone, to get away from the crowd, to get away from the media and influences and just spend time with Him.
Hearing and knowing His voice makes the difference.
In this time of chaos and craziness in the world, hear His voice.
To come away with Him. This sunday I heard the prophetic voice of the Holy Spirit say, "I've missed my time with you".
In all the busyness and distractions of this world hear His voice and come away, come up higher.
We have all missed spending time relatives and friends. We've missed them because of boundaries and distancing.
But there is no barrier apart from (sin and that can be dealt with) for you drawing close to God.
You used to spend time with Him and hear His voice and know His love and direction.
The Holy Spirit is saying, "Come, home I've missed my time with you".
Prayer:
Father I hear Your gentle whisper to come away with You. I choose to respond today and come up higher. Help me to know Your voice and presence today in Jesus' name Amen.
