Mark 11 When they were nearing Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany on Mount Olives, he sent off two of the disciples with instructions: "Go to the village across from you. As soon as you enter, you'll find a colt tethered, one that has never yet been ridden. Untie it and bring it. If anyone asks, 'What are you doing?' say, 'The Master needs him, and will return him right away.'"
In this story Jesus was about to make His Hosanna procession into Jerusalem.
He told two disciples to go to a nearby village and untie a colt (donkey). If you are stopped say the master has need of it.
You know Jesus is coming back soon in a triumphant procession. He really is.
Jesus is looking for a church, for a person or people no-matter how lowly to carry Him to the people.
Many people bound, many churches bound. But know this today you are not forgotten.
When you are tied, you are restricted and can only go as far as the rope's limits before being pulled back.
But the good news is Holy Spirit is going to untie some unlikely candidates. Some forgotten ones from some villages.
You may think you've been in prison, in captivity going round in circles. But the truth is you've just been in storage waiting for this moment.
Once loosed, the church, the people the humble, the forgotten will carry, will lift up Jesus for a generation to see.
It's your time to be loosed.
It's the churches' time to be loosed.
For Jesus has need of you.
Prayer:
Father thank You that Jesus You find and untie people so that they can carry You to the Masses. Lose me that I might not be limited, but fulfill my destiny today in Jesus' name, Amen.
