Just Don't Stop (Part 1) We Face Fines, He Faced Lions

Matt Richards

Daniel 6:7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the deputies and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have consulted and agreed that the king should establish a royal statute and make a firm decree that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except of you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions.

Daniel had an excellent spirit. He was blessed and unstoppable. So some devious characters tried to stop him praying.

They set him up because they wanted prayer to stop. But Daniel ignored the government instructions and did what 'he had done previously'. That is he prayed. Publicly.

The rest of the story you know well.

Daniel was thrown into a lions den, the mouths of the lions were shut and the law got changed. The enemy was defeated and God got the victory.

Sound familiar? 30 days of being unable to pray publicly out loud.

We face fines he, faced Lions.

(I think at times I and I am talking to myself right now, I need to man-up.)

Prayer:

Father forgive me for fearing. Help me to have boldness to obey You even if it's against the law. Let the fire on the altar never go out in Jesus' name amen.
