Matt Richards

Job 40:7 Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me. Will you even put me in the wrong? Will you condemn me that you may be in the right? (Esv)
This passage is challenging. Job was discouraged and crushed. He had lost everything of importance to him.
His friends told him to curse God, even mocked him. He was on the brink of giving up.
He had done nothing wrong. Out of anybody in the bible he could have blamed God, and had a victim mentality.
Ever felt like that?
Things have gone wrong and it's really not your fault. Truth is self pity or having a victim mindset will truly not help you.
God spoke to Job and said in the new Matt version "man up Job man up". Dress for action.
Many people dressed for mourning, for depression, for defeat. Need to dress for action. (Everything was about to change for Job) and maybe if you change your mindset and dress it will change for you too.
I am no victim.
Prayer:
Father I dont understand why bad things have happened to me. But You are God not me and I choose to trust You. I trust that all things are working together for good for me. I repent of a victim mentality today on choose to live as a son in Jesus' name. Amen.
SING IT AND DECLARE IT TODAY
I Am No Victim
Chorus 1 I am no victim I live with a vision I’m covered by the force of love Covered in my Savior’s blood I am no orphan I’m not a poor man The Kingdom’s now become my own And with the King I’ve found a home Pre-Chorus He’s not just reviving Not simply restoring Greater things have yet to come Greater things have yet to come
Chorus 2 He is my Father I do not wonder If His plans for me are good If He’ll come through like He should ‘Cause He is provision And enough wisdom To usher in my brightest days To turn my mourning into praise Bridge I am who He says I am He is who He says He is I’m defined by all His promises. Shaped by every word He says.
