Isaiah 62:8-9 "The LORD has sworn to Jerusalem by his own strength: “I will never again hand you over to your enemies. Never again will foreign warriors come and take away your grain and new wine. You raised the grain, and you will eat it, praising the LORD. Within the courtyards of the Temple, you yourselves will drink the wine you have pressed.”
Have you ever been robbed? It's a terrible feeling. When something you really valued, something that you worked hard for is suddenly carried away by an enemy.
It's a gut wrenching feeling, to see a good thing go to waste is painful.
In the natural, I can think of a few occasions where I felt robbed of a good thing—losing the footbal last night is perhaps a very mild example of feelings of loss.
But worse yet is when you lose a spiritual blessing. We have an enemy who has a crafty way of sneaking in to try and steal the good things that God blesses us with.
Have you ever experienced that? God begins to really move in your life, perhaps you recieve a healing or a breakthrough that you really persevered for and then somewhere along the line, it all seemed to fizzle out. The thief came to steal, kill, and destroy this new joy, and peace, and power that you have just stepped in to.
I hate watching Christians get deceived and dragged off back in to a terrible mess. I've seen people receive marvelous deliverance that only God could do, only to find that one month later they are worse than before. Sin and deception creeps in to set a snare for the naive in Christ. This very thing has happened to me in the past.
I can imagine my family's frustration when, after I was delivered powerfully from drugs and mental health, only afew weeks later I backslid and was in chaos for another year and a half before getting it right. How ANNOYING.
But this promise of the Lord here shows God is going to help us to keep the blessing. Hallelujah! I want to keep the breakthrough this time!
And all the crushing and pressing of the grapes is going to bring a powerful vintage wine into our lives, that we WILL drink and enjoy. And it WILL last!
Perhaps you've been raising some grain in prayer. Maybe there's been some pressing of grapes as you've gone through heart ache and loss and grief in your soul. Perhaps you've been in the throes of a difficult family situation and the battle has been hard. Whatever your situation, something GOOD is about to come around.
I want to prophesy to you that victory is coming and it's going to remain THIS time! Healing is coming and THIS time you're gonna walk it out and keep it! Fresh new wine of God's spirit is about to be released, and THIS time around, no devil is gonna rob the blessing.
SOMETHING good is coming, and the fruit shall remain! In Jesus name!
So pray with me:
Father thank You for the new wine of Your spirit that is coming to our lives. Thank You for the blessings that are being released! Teach us to walk in faith and hold tightly to that which You give us! Thank You for Your promise of fruit that remains in our family, church, city and nation, in Jesus' name Amen!
