Matt Richards
Psalm 69:32-33 The humble shall see it and be glad; you who seek God, inquiring for and requiring Him [as your first need], let your hearts revive and live! For the Lord hears the poor and needy and despises not His prisoners (His miserable and wounded ones).
Many miserable and wounded people Christian and non-Christian, are in a prison of despair, or depression, or anxiety and misery.
The good news is, if you belong to Jesus, you are His prisoner. You are not forgotten, but belong to Him. You are a prisoner (but of Hope).
The good news is, He hears the poor and needy when you seek Him as your first necessity. Jesus comes to visit and breaks you out.
Today He wants you to seek him.
I used to visit someone in Norwich prison.
But before I could go, they had to give my details to the person in charge and seek permission for me to come.
Today Jesus wants permission. He wants you to seek Him to come and visit.
He will come when sought. 'You will find Me when you seek me with all your heart.'
In a prison? He wants to visit. Seek Him and He will be found and wants more He will find you. Then you will Revive and Live.
Prayer:
Father I don't feel like it but I seek You today. Thank You that even in my prison I belong to You. Come Holy Spirit, visit me that my heart may revive and live in Jesus' Name Amen.
