Who Are You Serving Up?

Matt Richards

Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Life is full of choices, sometimes too many choices. What to eat, what to wear, where to live, who to marry, what job to do, etc. etc.

In this passage God's people were at a crossroads and thinking of going back to their old ways.

Joshua said, well it's a choice, so choose today who you will serve. Make a choice. It's up to you who you are going to serve.

No one can make that choice for you.

But there comes a time comes a day where you have to do it for yourself and choose.

This is the most important decision you will ever make.

Are you gonna serve money, a career, education, sport, or hobbies? Or even yourself and your own way.

Or are you going to serve God and live for Him?

It's black and white. You are serving up someone or something right now, whether you like it or not.

Why not be a servant of Jesus?

I make a choice today to serve Him deliberately (on purpose) in the big things and the small. I choose Jesus.

Prayer:

Father I have made lots of bad choices in life and gone my own way, forgive me. Today I choose You. I want to follow and serve You today. Help me to serve You in Jesus' Name Amen.
