You Don't Need A Mask

Matt Richards

Mark 3:5 He looked them in the eye, one after another, angry now, furious at their hard-nosed religion. He said to the man, "Hold out your hand." He held it out—it was as good as new! The Pharisees got out as fast as they could, sputtering about how they would join forces with Herod's followers and ruin him.

Not everyone was happy that Jesus healed the man with the withered arm. The pharisees were furious. They were furious He healed on the sabbath. That Jesus didn't obey the rules known to them. That He was outside their religious box. They missed the whole point and that point was Jesus had seen a man's life totally transformed for the Glory of God. I can truly relate to this. It was like they were saying, "yeah that's great I watched the blind eye open online, I saw the person dancing after coming out of a mobility scooter and the lady set free from demons and speaking in tongues at her baptism on the beach." "But what about the social distancing? What about wearing masks?. Did you clean your hands with alcohol gel before and after you laid hands on them?" People miss the whole point. They strain at a knat. They become hard nosed, wearing a religious mask. Looking to catch you out with a snide comment that just exposes their pharasaical heart. To be honest I just don't care. You are embarassing. If Jesus was walking round in the flesh today, touching lepers, spitting in mud and rubbing it in blind eyes, and having His feet washed by a prostitute; He would not be welcome in many churches, in fact they would join forces with those opposing Him too to bring Him down. All under the mask of religion. I see Sean Feucht seeing a move of God in the cities of America. Again many are so happy, but here come the hard nose religious masked ones with their expertise and criticism including organisations and people who should know better. How sad is that? Grow up. Let's never become hard nosed and religious. Let's never wear a mask of 'I

want to obey my government and protect people,' but really it is just covering for jealousy, pride, and insecurity. You don't need a mask. A mask of religion. Not gonna play the game. Get upset, get offended with me it doesn't change a thing. I don't have to please you. Neither does Sean. I choose not to play the religious game. You don't, I don't need a mask. Truth. Prayer:

Father thank You that Jesus broke the social and religious rules for me. Forgive me for being wearing religious masks. I renounce jealousy and pride. Help me to rejoice when Your kingdom is advancing. Help me today to do what You want me to do in Jesus' name Amen.
